Guns n’ Roses - Appetite For Destruction Heavy Metal Vinyl LP ’87 Club Pressing
This is the BMG Club edition and it has surprisingly good sound that may even surpass the original pressing. In any event, it certainly sounds better than the dynamically compressed modern LP reissues.
Record Grade: VG+
Sleeve Grade: VG(+)
Surfaces of the record are very clean with just very slight sleeve marks visible under bright light. The record doesn’t look like it was played very much. There is a slight storage warp that does not affect play.
The sleeve has slight bowing due to light moisture exposure. There’s also light corner wear, light shelf wear, and light creasing along edges. I can also see some light staining on the inside mouth of the cover (pictured). The custom inner sleeve does not have any seam splits but it does have a light ripple due to light moisture and some very minor staining on an outer edge.
Over all, a nice keeper copy of this classic LP that’s usually all scratched up.
Listing a lot of Heavy Metal this week. If you purchase more than one item from me, please wait for an invoice as I will combine shipping.
I grade LPs based on a conservative interpretation of the Goldmine standard. This means that a VG+ record is in very nice shape and should have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. A record with sustained surface noise will be at best a VG. All records are play-graded since not all surface noise can be detected visually. All records are shipped in new Whiplash mailers with cardboard backing with the sleeved record outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits.
Below is more thorough info on my grading system:
NM: Surfaces essentially look new. This is the highest rating I give used records.
VG+: Very nice shape. May have a few stray very light hairlines and/or light paper scuffs visible under bright light. Will have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. No feelable marks.
VG: Has hairlines and/or paper scuffs and has audible surface noise particularly between songs and during quieter passages.
G+: Has more pronounced hairlines and paper scuffs and may have a few small feelable marks, but still no skips.
