This is the original deep groove pressing of Thelonious Monk “The Unique” on the white reel-logo labels of Riverside RLP 12-209. The flat rim playing surface is generally in excellent condition, with just a few inaudible surface marks; however, the first track on each side opens with sporadic tics that end as the track concludes. The coated frame cover is bright and clean throughout; superficial wear along the spine; rubbing along the bottom seam; two small chips on the right edge of the back slick. Personnel include Oscar Pettiford and Art Blakey. $100.00.
