Even at the time, it was hard to find a rock band that was bi-racial, or in fact one that even had a person of color as the frontman (let alone a frontwoman). Jimi Hendrix was the exception, but so was Arthur Lee of LOVE, who was extremely cool, creative, and interesting in the early days of this somewhat overlooked band.
This is the one that starts off with "My Little Red Book." Funnily it has a cover of "Hey Joe" which normally was tossed onto albums by one-hit artists who didn't have much original material. And most of those were from around 1966-67, not so much 1970. I will speculate that Arthur Lee just liked the song and liked what he was able to give to it.
This is a "first-first" pressing, in that it's the version that went out to radio stations, with a white label on the record and a sticker on the back of the gatefold sleeve, "PROMOTIONAL COPY, NOT FOR SALE."
NM-/NM- near-perfect vinyl; sleeve shows medium-light wear and slight residue from a price sticker.
