Elton John - Greatest Hits Volumes One and Two 1 & 2 Rare Club Only Release 1981
Record grades: VG+ (for both)
Sleeve grade: VG+
20 OBO
The records have some light sleeve marks visible under bright light and if I look very carefully I can see a very small light scuff running parallel with the grooves on the edge of Side 2. Light surface noise is audible during the opening few seconds of Your Song and the opening 30 seconds of Daniel on the second side where the minor scuff is. It doesn’t tick or anything like that. The second disc has a slight storage warp that doesn’t affect play.
The jacket has some creasing (particularly around edges and corners) and a bump on the bottom right corner. There’s also light shelf wear, light corner wear, light general wear, and light spine and edge wear. Please examine pictures.
--------
I grade LPs based on a conservative interpretation of the Goldmine standard. This means that a VG+ record is in very nice shape and should have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. A record with sustained surface noise will be at best a VG. All records are play-graded since not all surface noise can be detected visually. All records are shipped in new Whiplash mailers with cardboard backing with the sleeved record outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits.
Below is more thorough info on my grading system:
NM: Surfaces essentially look new. This is the highest rating I give used records.
VG+: Very nice shape. May have a few stray very light hairlines and/or light paper scuffs visible under bright light. Will have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. No feelable marks.
VG: Has hairlines and/or paper scuffs and has audible surface noise particularly between songs and during quieter passages.
G+: Has more pronounced hairlines and paper scuffs and may have a few small feelable marks, but still no skips.
