RAVI SHANKAR Improvisations 1962 Sitar jazz raga EX vinyl World Pacific/Liberty   Description Vintage east-Indian instrumental raga jazz improv lp: RAVI SHANKAR - IMPROVISATIONS & Theme from Panther Panchali; Tabla Accompaniment by Kanai Dutta; assisting musicians are: Bud Shank, Nodu C. Mullick, Harahar Rao, Dennis Budimer, Gary Peacock & Louis Hayes. The record is not quite the match to the sleeve - the numbers match (ST 1416) but the sleeve says "World-Pacific Records, Stereo Hi-Fidelity" while the record labels say "Liberty Records - Visual Sound Stereo" (I'm just noticing this now - the record is so clean I'm going to run it anyway - possible factory error? or different label pressings with the same number). Matrix has 1A and 1C. 6 tracks; released in 1962. CONDITION: EX/EX (vinyl is glossy with a couple of very minimal sleeve scuffs; labels are clean; jacket has some light cover rubbing, minimal corner bumping, and clean edges and spine).
