This is Antone Records 1 & 2, George Lewis And His Ragtime Band, a white and red, deep groove label, blue vinyl (the 2nd Lp is blue as well although the picture doesn't show it clearly), original private label, mono issue of this extremely rare double 10" Lp set recorded in San Francisco in 1953. The records are in various conditions. Volume 1 is near mint showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The second volume is VG+ showing some marks on both sides but playing without any skips or distortion of the music, just some light background audible most noticeably on the first track of side 1. This set was obtained from the estate of the original producer. The records are packaged in two clear, heavy plastic outer sleeves. There are no liner notes but all the necessary information is on the labels. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. This is a fine, collector's grade copy of this extremely rare and wonderful original private issue. The records were cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
