Up for auction is a copy of the 1969 "Live Dead" album by the Grateful Dead. This one could have been from Haight-Ashbury for all I know, it's in OK condition, but not great or even very good. More like hippie condition - which I think makes it more interesting. If you're looking for pristine, this would not be for you, but if you're looking to obtain a decent copy from the very first run of this album, this might be for you. The discs have scratches, I don't know if they'll play without popping or noise, I assume not but I don't know. The gatefold jacket has splits at both top seams, but it has the booklet in excellent condition, and it has the original inner sleeves. The front cover has some kind of "hippie candle wax" residue, I'm not actually sure what it is, but it doesn't impair displaying it etc... I'm leaving it all alone because I think it has GREAT character.
