Beatles 'Beatles In Italy' LP Italian 1st issue, Parlophone PMCQ 31506 LP (only ever released in Italy & Israel).

There were several pressings of this Italian issue but this one is THE FIRST pressing with the legendary RED Parlophone label.  Most people do not know this ever existed as it is so rarely seen.

This album was released in Italy to cash in on the Beatles concert performances there and this 1st pressing was dated 13/07/65-literally a couple of weeks after playing in Rome.

This 1st issue with matrix XX 9009 1/XX 9010 1 also had 13.7.65 printed into the matrix and came out with the RED label.  Only 1 month later Parlophone changed the colour of their labels to black & silver and so this release only had the red label for 1 month after its issue.

All records pressed after 1 month had the black and silver label and many people believe that is the first issue not knowing about the red label issue.

The original sleeve here has a nice glossy type open up sleeve-nice concert picture on the front whilst on the back there is the classic 'Champagne glass picture'.

On the inner sleeve there are the album details-tracks etc on one side whilst on the other there are 2 classic pictures on stage in 1965.

Condition of both sleeve and vinyl is around the VG stage-The gatefold type sleeve is clean throughout-no writing,tears etc.

It has a few tiny knocks etc. normal signs of age - a little loss on the extremes of the spine and a little edgewear but basically all is good!

Similarly the vinyl has a really nice clean sheen-there are a good no.of minor marks and one more noticeable blemish on the last track but it plays fine throughout.

Grades overall at around VG to VG+ on both sleeve and disc.

Whatever this is a very rare chance to get one of the really rare Beatles worldwide pressings -  in a well reasonable condition.
