Here is a VERY RARE vintage Lp album from my collection offered up for sale: An original 1966 RCA Canadian first pressing of The Monkees' debut album. This record has RARE & beautiful RCA dog labels with LONG PLAY at the bottom of the label, just like Elvis Presley's first album 10 years prior in 1956! Here they come... "THE MONKEES" 1st Canadian pressing released in Canada by RCA Records COM-101 Mono. This cool artifact shares a MISPRINT song title ERROR with it's American counterpart on Colgems. This printing error is on the BACK COVER (only)! where "Papa Gene's Blues" is misprinted as "Papa Jean's Blues". Later pressings corrected it to the correct "Papa Gene's Blues". The odd part here is to see the front has the corrected title but the back still has the misprinted error !! This album's rear cover also has a blurb for the Monkees new TV show on the Canadian Television network CTV! WOW! This album has songs written by Carole King, Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, David Gates (later with BREAD), and Mike Nesmith. Songs include Tomorrow's gonna be another day, Last train to Clarksville, Take a giant step, This just doesn't seem to be my day, and MORE!!. The misprint RCA logo cover rates EX, has perfect color, bright white, is clean, the binder is EX and readable and all edges are solid, no
splits, no signatures, only flaw is a few small faint discoloration spots on rear cover. (very faint-see pics) Record rates EX, is super glossy and clean, has some faint & very light marks, nothing heavy, mostly sleeve wear, has been PLAY TESTED. Play with excellent
sound quality from start to finish, no skips, no jumps, great clear sound! VERY minimal surface noise, a very enjoyable listen! The RCA nipper LONG PLAY labels are clean & beautiful! , no signatures! (see photos). Own it now with my fair BUY IT NOW price! Will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve
inside a secure record mailing box with tracking number. Vinyl will be shipped in it's sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits. Check out other RARE Rock n Roll record gems on my Seller's list. Thanks for looking!
