PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

34 years ago, Capitol Records released "REEL MUSIC" just 15 months after John Lennon’s murder, and there was a sense of renewed interest in the Fab Four music. Hence the release of selected highlights from all five movies the Beatles made. Thematically it held together pretty well. The legendary band made five movies: here’s a taste from all of them -- that barely definable chord that opens up ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ is  rock legend right there.
The package itself is at the same time wonderfully fascinating and horrifically gaudy. The cover is a painted image that covers both the front and back, featuring a “Capitol Cinema” that is presenting all five movies. The Beatles themselves, from all five movies, are in attendance: you can see them entering the theater in their monochrome ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ suited attire, and posing in front of the box office in their snow outfits from ‘Help. Exiting a convertible parked in the center of the cover is the band in both their Wizard and Walrus costumes from ‘Magical Mystery Tour’. The animated Fab Four from ‘Yellow Submarine’ also make an appearance (John looks to almost be making a metal gesture, while the animated Ringo seems to be having a fun conversation with his counterpart from ‘Help’). Finally, the rather dour foursome from the rather dour ‘Let It Be’ flick are huddled in the corner, rather removed from all the Beatle hoopla.
As an album cover, it’s one of those ‘cool in concept, in execution’ things. It’s a bit busy, and doesn't really strike that iconic vibe something Beatle-related should usually do. Again though, this wasn’t an “official” Beatles album, but rather an issue that was all too soon deleted by the record label. No matter, it’s pretty much just as you might have expected: the big “hits” (or at least, the most “familiar” songs) from each movie, presented in chronological order. A 42-minute musical journey through the Beatles films and there’s not a bad song in the bunch.
Sonically, the tracks on this album are mostly the same as their standard American releases, but there are a few interesting finds for the truly Beatle obsessed. “I Should Have Known Better” featured a new stereo mix that fixes a harmonica drop-out. “A Hard Day’s Night” is the first US stereo release of that song, although the vocals were slightly off-center. “Ticket To Ride” had previously only been released in “fake stereo” in the US, and as such made its true stereo North American debut with this album.
Reel Music was not a big seller for Capitol Records, and in two years after its release the album was discontinued and went forever out-of-print.
