The orchestra consists of White Russian musicians who, after fleeing the Bolsheviks, settled in Shanghai's French Concession in the early 1920's. They played in night clubs and recorded for Baide (Pathe Records).

AMAZING SOUND! THIS IS YAO LI IMMORTAL SONG FROM 1940 IN SHANGHAI. HER BIGGEST HIT OF ALL! THE BACKUP ORCHESTRA WAS NEW THEN - MOSTLY COMPRISED OF WHITE RUSSIANS IN SHANGHAI. THE RESULT WAS TOTALLY UNEXPECTEDLY VERY MODERN.

 Record  :Excellence , some light hairlines  , record  clean , record still look shine.   Original Thai distributor sleeve,  None lyric.

M ( mint ) = Brand new

NM ( near mint ) = Very clean copy

EX ( excellence ) = Very light scuffs or none & minor wear on cover
VG+ ( very good plus ) = A few light scratches & some wear on cover
VG ( very good ) = Many light scratches and obvious wear on cover
G ( good ) = Deep scratches & almost damage cover
Fair and Poor = Damage unplayable. Offer only if records are very rare
