Behind Retep Folo stands Peter Olof Fransson, Swedish musician and artist/painter. Retep Folo is his solo project, working within the fields of experimental and electronic music. Mostly working with specific themes and "sound palettes" for each musical project, and where this is dedicated for the love of cats. Musical inspiration for, in this case "Music For Cats", have been drawn from musicians like Bruce Haack, Joe Meek, Ruth White, Daphne Oram, Jean-Jacques Perrey, some children's music, library music etc… It was his intention from the beginning to try to create a similar atmosphere such as in Ruth White's - "Evening Harmony" from her epic album "Flowers Of Evil" from 1969. The sound overall on "Music For Cats" has a lo-fi aesthetics feel to it.  "Music For Cats" was originally recorded in May/June 2013, and this is his first "release" on own label HÖR Records.
Peter have been involved in many other musical projects throughout the years. Most notably is the release on Psychic Malmö (Swedish label) with Exhadley back in 2003.  In 2011 he and poet Oscar Sjölander released a CDr with Ester Elster (a electronic/poetry project) on Reverb Worship. These days, except for his solo work, he is also involved in the duo The Owl Report.

Please note! This picture disc hand made lathe cut is of low-fi quality, including noise, imperfections etc, and is not like a pressed vinyl. I may not be playable on all record players. It may skip, jump, or just play fine. If it's not playable then feel free to use it for whatever suitable purpose. As wall art, frisbee etc… although keep in mind… the disc is limited to 20 copies only.

"Peter Olof Fransson have been involved in various different musical projects throughout the years. Most notably is "Exhadley" together with Jörgen Andersson, and their first and only self-titled release on the Swedish label "Psychic Malmö" in 2009. They also made a few rare performances live around in Göteborg on galleries and venues before and during this period, mostly performing improvised live-electronics... 

In 2011, and with the addition of drummer Richard Bosko Olsson ("Arrington De Dionysos", "SONSON" - "Kapitän Platte"), they were again performing in the Göteborg area, and at one point in Malmö entering stage together with "Flowers Must Die", "Hills" etc...

In 2011 he and poet Oscar Sjölander started Ester Elster - a electronic/poetry project - and released a CDr on British label "Reverb Worship" in 2012. They made two live-performances at two occasions, and where one were at the infamous Hippie Festival "Säljerydsfestivalen" in 2011. 

These days, except for his solo work, Peter is mostly involved in the psychedelic/electronic duo "The Owl Report" together with guitarist Svante Sjöstedt."
