vinyl has a couple of pops from marks on the vinyl, nothing that interferes too much with the music. Sleeve has quite a bit of wear on face, edges and corners

Near Mint (NM or M-)

Vinyl: Near Perfect - No signs of wear

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl: Record will show some signs that it was played. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable.

Very Good (VG)

Vinyl: This has obviously been played.  A record with light scratches that will affect the sound. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, but will not overpower the music otherwise.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Vinyl: Very well played, dull, greyish and possibly abused. Will play with some form of decency.

 

Poor (P), Fair (F)

Vinyl: The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. 

 

COVER GRADING

Near Mint (NM or M-)

Vinyl: Near Perfect . It may have been played but has no creases, folds, seam splits or other defects. No cut-out holes.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl Record: Cover may be marred by a cut-out hole. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split.

Very Good (VG)

Vinyl: Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Vinyl: A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, tape, writing and ring wear.

Poor (P), Fair (F)

Vinyl: damaged cover
