Travis and Bob were an American rock and roll duo from Jackson, Alabama. Its members were Travis Pritchett and Bob Weaver.In 1959, they released a single on the independent label Sandy Records called "Tell Him No", which was written by Pritchett. Dot Records picked up the single for nationwide distribution, and it became a hit. Tell Him No debuted in Billboard on 3/23/59, spent 13 weeks on the chart and peaked at #8.
All Dot and Sandy records were 45s. 78 rpm versions from other record companies are extremely rare.
