Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.
We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Gotten scare, Original 1970 first pressing of the SECOND, best and last BEAST album ...an underground rock crew ...
This second release by Beast is similar to their first LP, with flutes, keys and fuzz guitar delivering a variety of self composed styles here; One minute you get acoustic and dreamy folk/psych...the next it's heavy and electric, while other times with rural rock overtones and onto progressive. There are also some mild psych influences. The words Higher & Higher appear on the back cover ... All said it's a pretty decent slice of underground psychedelic rock even with the varied elements. The good thing about it is this Beast is full of surprises. For example, the 2nd cut on side 1 titled "Communication" is a fairly lengthy full-blown psych/hard rocker, while taking a few jazzy/prog turns as well, employing some flute and keyboards, which make for some very cool instrumental passages. But as side 1 winds down, suddenly we're confronted with some acoustic countrified folk music - as usual with albums from the '60s there is some filler, being tracks that are plain and simple. However for some, this eclectic surprise element might add to the whole experience. Surprisingly, the album is recorded/mixed quite well which really helps capture all the sonic layers throughout the psychedelic sound-capade.As for side two: Much the same...more underground psychedelic edges...sometimes heavy lead guitars accompanied by whirling Hammond organ.. The group was from Colorado and the album was produced by the band, then recorded by Norman Petty at Petty Sound Studios, Clovis, New Mexico.
