From the liner notes of this record : ' Saxophonists come and saxophonists go but Lester Young swings on forever. There may be other tenor men with more technique, some of them even with much swing, but for what Lester does, no one has never matched it '

Visual grading : record is Good+ much used has several surface marks and some scuffs on both sides. Also a couple of small scratches but one is lightly feelable. Clean labels with light spindle wear.     Playing grading : record is VG to VG+ plays well with loud and clear sound. Has light occasional background noise in a few quieter parts and a few occasional ticks. One of these is shortly repeated. Also a short light rustling at the beginning of side B  Cover grading : cover is Good has all the edges totally taped with clear tape in an evident way. Front cover has light ringwear and back cover has some rubbing and age yellowing Cover art on front is by Dave Stone Martin
