Title : Please Please Me
Label : Parlophone PCS3042 The 4th and Final Pressing from 1963 - the year of the release
Format :12" LP - Rare STEREO Version
Condition : VG/VG Sleeve as per pix with corner scuffs etc. Item will be shipped with signature required on delivery
Other Features/Notes: It's 50+ years old and not mint but is a good example of a typical record from that era and has been played & tested. Some snaps crackles and pops but no hops skips or jumps and is better than my own MONO version I bought in 1963 as an 11 year old and would never part with.
Some Notes about the Fourth Pressings (1963)
The standard yellow block writing Parlophone label. The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." The label DOES have "Recording first published 1963", but NOT "Sold in the U.K..." statements. The word "mono" (or stereo) on the front cover is larger than in later editions.
General Notes:Most of our records for sale are from our own personal collection. They were generally purchased at the time of release so there are a lot of early pressing matrix numbers.
Most are between 25-50 years old and have been played. Some more extensively than others. Occasionally some will have the odd note on the inner sleeve saying how much they cost and when where purchased
Not all have been played recently and we are happy to oblige by giving the record a run out for interested buyers on request as we still play vinyl all the time - but our tastes have changed hence these listings.
General Condition: (disc/sleeve)
Condition is expressed as two abbreviations, separated by a slash. The first refers to the disc and the second to the sleeve. The abbreviations we use are as follows:
M (Mint), EX (Excellent), VG (Very Good), G (Good), F (Fair), B (Bad)
For example: EX/VG indicates that the record is in Excellent condition and the sleeve in Very Good condition.
Grading Definitions
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and the contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Our covers are graded with their age considered.
The vast majority of items we list are in Excellent or Very Good condition. We only use the 'Mint' grading for items with no visible flaws at all, so many of our excellent items are in very near mint condition.
Please note that most of the records we sell are however 25 to 50 years old. We do not play grade every record so many are visually graded. This is usually sufficient as 99% of the time if it looks clean it will play clean.
However even those that are played may play differently from one record player to another. So sometimes these old pieces of vintage retro plastic music may have a snap, crackle or pop in them somewhere.
All records play on our own home record players but if you are really unhappy on delivery at the condition of the record as per its description let us know ASAP and we’ll sort it out for you immediately. Please be assured that we offer a money back guarantee if you're not happy though so bid with confidence.
We only want satisfied customers.
