Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. ....ORIGINAL 1972 first pressing with 3-D hologram cover ...one of the greatest, when talking USA early 70's hard rock...

Captain Beyond were a supergroup, formed by the first Deep Purple vocalist Rod Evans, Iron Butterfly’s Lee Dorman & Larry “Rhino” Reinhardt on bass and guitar respectively, and ex-Johnny Winter (amazing) drummer Bobby Caldwell: with this personnel they would release the fantastic Captain Beyond album, which is basically a mixture of rancid 70s hard rock with psychedelic excursions rolled up in killer, top level melodies, that don't leave your memory....

Mostly structured as a concept LP, with the tracks joined, many times, following continued sequences. Some hypnotic atmospheres, like in “Dancing madly backwards (on a sea of air)/Armworth/Myopic void” are intertwined with beautifully played passages, and the acid heavy riffage of a Jimi Hendrix, notable as well in “Mesmerization eclipse” or “Raging river of fear”, tracks that feature shifting tempos. Another fine sequence of psychedelic rock is “Thousand years of yesterday (intro)/Frozen over/Thousand years of yesterday (time since come and gone)”, which starts acoustic, and is developed along spacey, or even bluesy instrumental passages, going complex/progressive in the end.
The last part of the album “I can’t feel nothin’ (part I)/As the moon speaks (to the waves of the sea)/Astral lady/As the moon speaks (return)/I can’t feel nothin’ (part II)”, it’s a concatenation of short tacks, which lasts its 9 minutes +, blending the psych heavy rock and the abrasive guitars, with pensive and calm soundscapes.

All in all one of the all time classic gems of the era...special mention to Bobby Caldwell's amazing drumming throughout!!!, as well; though is not really a masterpiece, especially if compared with the huge and influential records of its time –the early 70s-, when this kind of music was at its prime.
