This is how the late, great Lama reviewed it: “for a bunch of teenagers the vibe is mature and strangely subdued, making for an unusual atmosphere that has contributed to its generally high rating among private press specialists. There are two good vocal cuts, while the rest is laid back snaky guitar jam instrumentals with a slightly eerie vibe, like portions out of a really weird Grateful Dead concert. Hootch maintain their inscrutable late-night vibe throughout, and in toto this is a vital trip into classic 70’s local idiosyncrasy, far removed from anything you’ll find on a major release”.
