WILD & THRILLING 1966 "GET DOWN WITH IT" FUZZ-ROCK JAMS! = RARE RARE PRIVATE PRESS =ORIGINAL= ..|/\|...............................................|/\|.. T H E T O R Q U E S LIVE!
..|/\|...............................................|/\|.. USA - LEMCO RECORDS (PRIVATE PRESS) PLAYS GREAT! RARE and great Original 1966 (Private) first pressing from Kentucky ... wild rave-up prinitive garage -- much better than almost ALL of the "Justice" label bands of glory ... Rare album from Lexington, Kentucky by the Torques on the local micro-pressed Lemco-604 Label was recorded Live in 1966. This rare garage collectible is highly praised by sixties garage and teen scene collectors - the Lp has detched high $ figures in collector circles - an excellent solid garage cooker similar in style to those released on the Justice label but blows most of that roster away - recorded live on New Years Eve 1966. Both sides have a decent amount of fuzzed out garage cookers. Among the highlights, "Stepping Stone" & a growling "Hungry" in particular stand out as great garage-rocking classics. I've Been Hurt Black Is Black What Kind Of Fool (Do You Think I Am) But Its Alright Love Is A Hurting Thing B: It's Not Unusual (I'm Not Your) Steppin Stone Hungry Out Of Sight Come On Up CONDITION: The cover: rated VG, but that's only for light discoloration at top area due to possible moisture contact at some point. Actually looks pretty decent and chances are you won't find a much better cover being a local '66 Kentucky private press that was only sold at the bands concerts. NO splut seams, no bends, no writing, just light discoloration that is not that bad... collectible in ANY shape, it's that very rare..... The vinyl: rated: VG(+) both sides are still highly glossy, there are real minor scuffs on both sides which do not interfere with playback, the deep groove pressing played with excellent audio as per usual with sixties garage albums, it is a (delightfully) lo-fi production, so even mint copies don't sound much better than this ... ...the LEMCO labels are clean
A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONE'S COLLECTION ! SEE: SELLERS OTher items for similar cool sounds for "head" people... EFFICIENT/CAREFUL GRADING All imperfections are noted both cover & record
UPDATE: Good news! The buyer who tried to mar our reputation, as well as others, has now been removed from the eBay community. It remains to be seen whether his so-called friends will continue his dirty work, but as of now, we are elated to report that his other two eBay IDs are also suspended. Thank you to the many sellers and customers who offered their support, as that helped tremendously during our efforts to get the job done. Now on to more pleasant things...
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.
