If you own the 1967 first issue of this LP you have an extreme rarity since only 500 were made. Adding to the listening pleasure is the delight in owning a record that is worth upwards of $1,500 in nice condition. Rated among the 100 most valuable vinyl albums, Grandma's Rockers was composed of five Iowa high school teens performing fuzzed-psych gems across both sides of their now famous LP.

Grandma's Rockers was composed of five Iowa high school kids performing a mixture of crude, but absolutely killer originals and the "in" hits of the day, such as "Incense & Peppermints,"  "Talk Talk," "Light My Fire," and even an obscure 'fuzz stinger' called "Love" which you can find on the very first Country Joe & the Fish... but it's the originals that are even better, namely "So High On Cloud Nine," "Blue Peppers" and "Breakaway"

Performed in a basic garage band style this album is indicative of an era before a few monolithic corporations controlled the music industry. Enjoyable is the raw amateurishness and enthusiasm conveyed in the performance.
