Astonishing, beatiful and RARE Italian Library gem from the Sermi Records vaults - absolutely dope record by the legendary studio band I MARC 4, featuring some of the best Italian groovy Jazz. Deep sounds inspired by young Italian hippie / beatnick counterculture and the Beat Generation era, with mental Underground moods expressed in Jazz and Beat. Solid studio orchestra who continued the work started with the first volume (I MARC 4 - I SOLISTI DI A.TROVAJOLI vol.1, recorded one year before) with the addition of Jacques Pelzer and Livio Cerveglieri on flutes / sax and the trumpet of Alberto Corvini (Rai orchestra). Outstanding, fantastic early I Marc 4 session recorded before the Nelson series and for sure one of their best and deepest productions that has never been comped or reissued. Totally killer Underground Jazz with Beat and Funk contaminations / Psychedelic moods with wah-wah guitars / exquisite Jazz Pop arrangements and top of the top gold vintage grooves / mind-blowing Bossa Nova themes / Downtempo and Uptempo Jazz beats with punishing drums patterns / Jazz Rock, Fusion and shaky rhythmed Jazz / killer Hammond groove and overwhelming scores. Enjoy the insane Psychedelic groove of "BUSINESS" with its obsessive riffs, sharp and shooting vibes with acid guitar motif. "CHARLIES" is an unbelievable Underground jam with deep bassline and heavy downtempo beat, hypnotic drugs/dope effects recalling the late '70s hippie vibes. The killing upbeat groove of "PROTESTA" with aggressive driven-beat drumming and Soul Jazz / Modern influences. "LIVIO" is another absolute banger with its killer Jazz Beat and devastating drums, organ and sax solo. Elegant Jazz-Pop arrangements and wah-wah dopeness on "JACQUES" with flute section. The mind-melting Bossa groove "JOSEPHINE", easily one of the best Bossa Nova tracks ever with outstanding vibes and noble flute and drums followed by the enchanting Lounge Bossa "PARANA". More Underground Jazz Beat & sleazy wah-wah guitar on "FLASH" with dope Hammond jam, the suggestive Blues of "ASTRO" and the panoramic Easy Listening laid-back vibes of "VACANZE". Totally KILLER LP from start to finish, very hard to find in such great shape!
