EX / NM  Record looks almost un-played, shiny, glossy, with no obvious marks, except perhaps a few very light  superficial paper scuffs.

VG++ / EX-  Excellent record…..Glossy surface, minimal hairlines, very light scuff marks, possibly some light surface noises.

VG+ Well taken care of record …..may have a few minor hairline marks or surface scuffs that will not affect play (no skips...but possibly some minor crackling on playback).

VG  Record may have several light scratches, noticeable marks, and surface noise may be more apparent. …It will still play through without skipping and is still enjoyable.

VG-  Looks rough, many scratches, some deep enough to be fell with a fingernail, surface noise is more evident . …An OK record, but not for everyone. (* will not normally be auctioned, unless a desirable or rare item)

                 Cover:

EX / NM  Only very minor shelf wear with perhaps a minor flaw)….an overall excellent collectible cover (a cover that was very well stored)
