Rush Fly Night PROMOTIONAL record store display placard authentic mid 1970s
Wasn't able to find anything about this item on line. I do remember
such things as display items in record stores (like Sam the Record Man)
to advertise a new album release. In this case Rush's classic second
album, the first with Neil Peart, Fly By Night. It was machine
cut - not someone cutting the image of an album cover - and you'd
see it as part of advertising display somewhere in the store,
probably in front at the checkout desk. - quite sure it is authentic - a rare promotional piece of Rush history.
Condition: if this was a record cover I'd describe it as VG+. It has three faint
crease marks the longest of which is about 2 inches long. It has a small
area of laminate missing in the bottom left about 1 centimeter square. It
also has 3 smallish areas that have scotch tape resiue in an area about 2 centimeters
in each area. It doesn't lie flat - its' slightly concave.
