BEAUTIFUL M- *clean* Original 1969 first pressing on the highly sought 360 Sound Columbia label of the sixties...

If you habitually dig through dusty piles of albums looking for an pristine original pressing still in original factory shrink wrapper with the all too rare "Kozmic Blues" sticker on outer wrapper - look no further -- the cellophane on the cover is complete (none missing) and that all too important (rare) outer KOZMIC BLUES" sticker is intact -looking terrific, just as it did in 1969.

There's not much new that can be said about the music. Kozmic Blues is Janis Joplin's debut album sans Big Brother & the Holding Company, and the more personal statement of Joplin's edge-of-her-vocal-cords blues-soul fusion. The drawn-out opening of "Try (Just a Little Bit Harder)" percolates with conviction, as does "One Good Man," which Joplin wrote. The 'Kozmic Blues Band' is tight and electrifying -- giving Janis plenty of room to do her thang, and she certainly does it ...check out her popular hit, 'Try', then the bluesy 'One Good Man', the pretty, 'As Good As The World's Been To You', and the tour de force closer 'Work Me, Lord' which is one of the tunes she'd showstop with on tour in 1969 (which would also include a pit stop at Woodstock). So, in all, it's a strong album filled with an edge-of-your-seat fine performance.

The pressing is quiet down into the grooves, and there is good definition of everything musical.
