PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. Final Collection Copy ....
STILL IN ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPER and .... MINT!

Original 1968 first pressing...(no bar code) ...the second Savoy Brown album flourishes in top form blues boom rock, checking the band in among the tops of the scene, led by Mayall's Blues Breakers & Green's Fleetwood Mac...

all complete, this is one nice upgrade or first time score....

Savoy Brown, as a blues band, was at its creative peak in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Of their four best albums from that period, Getting To The Point is probably the most overlooked and underrated.

"Getting To The Point" opens and closes with pure blues that sandwich an eclectic mixture of rock, boogie, and blues between. When Chris Youlden starts to sing, you know you are in for a treat. Bob Hall's rollicking keys really sets this LP apart from other Savoy Brown recordings. And of course there is classic Kim Simmonds just ripping it up on lead guitar.
Highlights are all over and include the bluesy Flood In Houston, Someday People, Stay With Me Baby, Mr. Downchild, and the boogies Getting To The Point and The Incredible Gnome Meets Jaxman. The music is probably best summed up by the eight minute long "You need Love", the old Willie Dixon chestnut, which rushes off at a brisk twelve bar, whilst Youlden explains to the object of his desires why she needs his affections, before Simmonds takes over with a blistering guitar solo, giving way to a thundering bass section from Jobe. A pulsating drum solo from Earl leads us into a `dueling style' guitar battle between Simmonds and Peverett. Then the whole band come back to bring the song to a fitting climax.

Flood in Houston 3:53 Stay With Me Baby 2:41 Honey Bee 6:33 The Incredible Gnome Meets Jaxman 3:31 Give Me a Penny 4:23 B side: Mr. Downchild 5:31 Getting to the Point 4:00 Big City Lights 3:19 You Need Love 7:41
