 Sabu Martinez was one of the greatest Latin percussionist of all times. He was a naturally multi-talented musician who reigned as king of the Cubop beat in the late sixties and early seventies.

He recorded two LPs for the New York label SMC: "In Orbit" and "Astronautas De La Pachanga." These albums, originally released by the famous New York SMC label in 1960, are loaded with solid Descargas and Boogaloo with Afro Cuban, and Latin jazz rhythms. Check out great tracks like “Descarga Atomica” and “Mambo Pachanga”. The side men on this session are an all-star Latin Jazz band.

These are test pressing LPs made for the reissue label, in 1997, and reissued as a double LP. We are selling are the individual LPs since we no longer have the gate-fold covers. The single LP you purchased will be shipped in a white color inner sleeve, for protection only. Back in the 60's, the original individual LPs were shipped on the standard SMC cover (see image of original single LP from 1960)
