This is the original deep-groove stereo pressing of Max Roach “Moon-Faced and Starry-Eyed” on the black and silver labels of Mercury SR 60215. Other than an inaudible scuff on Side 2, the playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated cover is bright and clean throughout with just minor wear at the opening corner. The front is boldly signed in black marker: “Max Roach 1/29/93”. Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
Personnel include Tommy and Stanley Turrentine, Julian Priester, Ray Bryant, and Abbey Lincoln.
