The Savoy Brown Blues Band - Shake Down. Originally released in1967 on the Decca label this is I think an early 1970s pressing as the Decca logo is boxed (I think the boxed design was introduced in late 1969).
Catalogue Number is SKL 4883.
Matrix run outs on the end wax are ZAL-7887-1W and ZAL-7888-1W.
The sleeve / cover is fully intact in nice condition with the front laminate all intact. There is just minor wear to one corners. Worst defect is some staining to the bottom edge of the rear cover which incorporates an area of abrasion of about 1 1/2 (no more than a 1/4" wide). The cover itself has not been pieced however.
The record has a really good sheen and on normal inspection appears unmarked. When viewed in strong light however there are a lot of very faint play marks (not scratches). I have played both sides of the record (it was good to listen to it again) and really there is only minimal surface noise in places (mainly during the side introductions). There are no clicks, pops etc that I noticed and really the record plays very nicely.
The labels are very clean with minor evidence of spindle marks.
The record comes in the correct Decca label poly lined inner sleeve which is in nice condition.
I would grade the record as a clear EX. The cover is made difficult by the problems outlined - I have toyed with G+ but really think it justifies VG (please look at photographs to make up your own mind).
I have not sold records on eBay for a good while but my previous feedback ratings do I believe show me to be a reliable seller. I recently listed half a dozen records from my own collection (I know that everybody says this!) and as it went reasonably well will list several more. Due to the current situation I only wish to sell within the UK however - my apologies to anyone abroad whom might have been interested.
UK postage is therefore £4 (signed for).
