Wire - Chairs missing, EMI Harvest SHSP 4093, 1978, first UK pressing in excellent condition EX. This is Wire’s second studio album, released in the UK in September 1978 by Harvest.

What makes this a first UK pressing?

• dark green and lime Harvest label

• small EMI logo on label

• thick lilac card inner sleeve with rounded corners, band picture, (Wire intended the inner to be black & white and so had the lilac inner replaced)

• Printer Garrod & Lofthouse shortened to G.L.on rear and to G&L on inner sleeve

• Inner sleeve without ©️ 1978 for Carlin Music Corp.

• Matrix/Runout stamped SHSP 4093 A-2 1 G and SHSP 4093 B-2 1A

Condition of cover, inner sleeve and vinyl is EXCELLENT minus.

Vinyl has been played, few minor light scuffs, not affecting the playback, no warps, label with the spindle marks.

Lilac inner sleeve with very little wear, no seam splitting.

Cover with some wear and signs of handling, nice fully legible spine.

Play graded on a Thorens TD 160, Ortofon VMS20E MkII, B&W 685 speakers.

NOTE - I am also auctioning the Wire albums - Pink Flag & 154, both UK first pressings.

Grading as per RRPG. Returns accepted.

Postage: tracked and signed UK / worldwide, combined postage possible, posted in professional mailers with stiffeners, vinyl will be removed from the cover and placed behind cover in a plastic sleeve.
