"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" landmark album was released in 1967. It was The Beatles eighth studio album and spent 27 weeks on top of the charts. The band retired from touring the previous year and that allowed them to record an album with plenty of special effects and without worrying about being able to reproduce it live in concert. It's on every critic's list of best albums and is also one of the best selling albums of all time.
This is a mono copy from the first pressing and is in very good shape. The disc plays cleanly with no skips but there is some ring wear on the cover and some initials written on it. I rate it as VG. Please see the pictures.
In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 53 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
