The Rolling Stones released "Between The Buttons" in the U.S. in February 1967 on London Records. Propelled by hit singles "Ruby Tuesday" and "Let's Spend The Night Together" the album is now ranked on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of all time list. It was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham and the cartoon artwork on the back cover was done by Charlie Watts.
This rare Mono recording (LL 3499) is from the first pressing in 1967 and is in good condition. It has the original maroon disc labels with the band name and album title in all lower-case letters. Despite being over 53 years old, the cover is intact but does show some edge and ring wear and there are some initials written on the front and side 2 label which is why I grade it VG. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and I grade it VG+ which is as high as I rate vintage vinyl. The Side 1 dead wax is etched LL3499A #### A-XARL #### 7616-1E.
In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 53 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
