Elton John and his band consisting of Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray did a legendary live radio broadcast on WABC-FM in New York City on November 17, 1970. It was released as 17-11-70 on DJM in the U.K., but used the U.S. dating convention of 11-17-70 for the title of the American release on Uni Records in April 1971.
This copy of (93105) is from the first pressing and is in generally good condition. The matrix stamping in the dead wax on Side 1 is 93105 A-1. The album sleeve has some minor edge wear and, although it's hard to see in the pictures, it appears to have been carefully repaired with clear tape to keep it from splitting and I grade it as VG. The disc plays cleanly and I rate it as VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl.
In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 49 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
