Linda Ronstadt released her eighth studio album "Simple Dreams" in September 1977 on Asylum Records. The album yielded five singles including "It's So Easy" and "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" plus "Blue Bayou" which was nominated for a Grammy as Record Of The Year. The album was No. 1 for five weeks and was the record that unseated Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" from the top spot after 29 weeks.
This copy (6E-104) is from the first pressing in 1977 and is in excellent condition. It is still in its original factory shrink wrap and the pictures of the interior gatefold are from another copy. The cover and original inner lyrics sleeve are easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. The Side One dead wax is etched with 6E-104 A-7 PRCW-1 TVL-S.
In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 43 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
