This would be a prized possession for the Buddy Holly collector like myself. Buddy Holly/Crickets Chirping Crickets Rare Textured Cover 1st Press Framed 1957. Original US pressing of Buddy Holly "The Chirping Crickets", 1957 first pressing Brunswick records BL 54038. Original textured cover (very hard to find) is in really good shape, subsequent pressings used a smooth cover ...partially taped seams and spine with clear tape (bit yellowed). Front slick pretty clean and presentable for a 63 year old record. Backside of cover has an old record store stamp in corner. Disc is also in great shape with only MINOR scratches clean labels with some center hole wear. As for playback: I played thru both sides completely...strong sound and no skips (light popping and crackling between tracks). There is a very very soft tick on "Its not too late" (side 1) and "send me some lovin" (side 2).
