Eagles released their fifth studio album "Hotel California" in October 1976 on Asylum Records. It topped the charts and contains three hit singles "New Kid In Town," "Life In The Fast Lane," and "Hotel California." It won a Grammy Award for Record Of The Year. It was the first album without founding member Bernie Leadon who was replaced by Joe Walsh. It was also the last one with Randy Meisner in the lineup.
This copy (7E 1084) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. Please see the photos. It is still in its original factory shrink wrap and along with the inner sleeve and 33" x 11" poster is easily VG+. Note the photo of the interior gatefold is from another copy. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+. The dead wax is etched with 7E 1084 A -4 RE CSM and the cryptic IS IT SIX O'CLOCK YET? It was mastered by Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound in NYC.   In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 44 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
