Here is a CLASSIC and historic Jimi Hendrix related album, his ground-breaking debut as a producer. A RARE 1969 WL PROMO LP, "Cat Mother & the All Night News Boys". Reportedly Jimi heard these cats and dug their hard rockin' blues rock and offered tp produce their self titled first album "Cat Mother & the All Night News Boys". Released in 1969 on Polydor records 24-4001 Stereo, this is a RARE white label radio station promo!. These guys are great and you will love their groove as Jimi did! They do a cool medley called "Good old rock and roll" which features Chuck Berry's "Sweet little 16", Jerry Lee Lewis' "Whole lotta shakin'", The Big Bopper's "Chantilly lace", the Buddy Knox classic "Party doll" , Elvis Presley & Carl Perkins "Blue suede shoes" and many more cool rockin' tunes on this record! Jimi had built Ladyland studios in NYC just before his death and had big plans to do a lot of producing. This album represents his big ambitions and is sadly the ONLY album besides his own that he got to produce. A scarce Jimi collectable!! This vinyl rates VG, is glossy and
clean, has light marks on both sides, nothing heavy, PLAY TESTED, plays VG from start to finish! Some surface noise can be noted in the quiet spots. Valued at it's Hendrix related rarity!
The cover rates strong VG+, is clean, a great image of band with only very light wear, edges & corners EX, binder edge is readable, has light edge wear. There is a punch hole in the bottom right corner. (see all pictures)
Will be shipped in a plastic sleeve
in a record box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in paper sleeve outside the cover to prevent cover splits.
