It was released in 2008 on the ‘Mute Records’ label (cat. no. 12YAZ7) in a Limited run, and comes in a card picture sleeve with a white paper inner..

Yazoo were a synth-pop duo from Basildon, Essex consisting of singer Alison Moyet and former Depeche Mode keyboardist Vince Clarke. They formed in 1981, and over the following 18 months, the pair released two albums; 'Upstairs At Eric's' (UK #2) and 'You and Me Both' (UK #1). Both albums received critical acclaim for their production, particularly the blending of Clarke's synthesizer melodies with Moyet's blues- and soul-influenced vocals. The first album produced two smash hit UK singles in 'Only You' (#2) and 'Don't Go' (#3) and the track 'Situation', which topped the US Billboard 'Dance Club Songs' chart (along with 'Don't Go').

The second album featured the single 'Nobody's Diary', which became Yazoo's third US dance #1 and also a #3 hit in the UK. All four tracks have been remixed and reissued over the years. The duo split somewhat acrimoniously midway through 1983, with Alison Moyet forging a highly successful solo career, while Vince Clarke went on to massive success as the founder of another synth-pop duo, Erasure.

'Nobody's Diary' was the only single to be released from the second Yazoo album, You and Me Both'. It originally came out in May 1983 and reached #3 in the UK singles chart. In 2008, the track was remastered as part of the 'In Your Room' box set that was being released. It was re-released on this 12” single which also featured new remixes from Erasure's Andy Bell and dance duo Koishii & Hush.
