Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers - At The Jazz Corner Of The World - Volume 2 - lp (Blue Note BLP 4016) USA 1960
Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers - At The Jazz Corner Of The World - Volume 2. Original first issue Blue Note deep groove lp. When I got the lp it had no inner sleeve at all, so if there was a company inner it is now missing. MP3 files of both sides available, please ask.
Lee Morgan - trumpet
Hank Mobley - tenor sax
Bobby Timmons - piano
Jymie Merritt - bass
Art Blakey - drums
The album matches the Discogs description of a first mono issue:
- blue/white deep groove Blue Note Records - 47 West 63rd - NYC labels (no "Inc" no ®)
- RVG stamped in the dead wax, both sides
- "P" (otherwise wrongly called "ear") for Plastylite plant etched in the trail off, both sides
- front laminated jacket
- no address on back cover
I will ship the single in a polylined inner outside of the sleeve to prevent seam splits.
CONDITION (Record Collector grading, see the end of the listing):
Vinyl: visual grade VG, some scuffs and light scratches. Plays VG / EX,
pretty clean with some occasional crackles. There is however some
distortion in the left channel during the louder parts. I don`t have a
mono cartridge and my turntable is not set up to play old mono jazz
records so I can`t tell if the distortion is on the record or if my
cartridge just can`t track the vinyl properly at all points. I have mp3s
available of both sides in full - please ask for the files if you want
to hear the lp before bidding.
Sleeve: G, some wear and small marks, no seam splits. Would be quite
nice but some pieces of the back slick have ripped of and there are
tears at the bottom of the back sleeve in the photos, see the pictures.

GRADING:
I use Record Collector magazine grading system.
I do not grade the cd / dvd / vhs / minidisc etc jewelboxes / cases
unless these are special custom ones or have stickers on them. These
kind of cases are generic and can be changed, if you would like to have
these graded for any item offered please ask in advance of bidding.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EX: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing
VG: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable
G: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
