This is the rarest and best pressing of the classic first album by Julie London, on UK London Records LP HA-U2005. Flip-back cover and original inner. By far her best record, by many people's assessment. This is her jazziest, with the great, great Barney Kessel on guitar, playing some of his most inspired and elegant backup ever. This copy is just beautiful. The disc is nearly perfect mint, playing almost flawlessly. Just the tiniest crackle, maybe, in a couple of places, but mostly it plays so beautifully it's like you have never heard this record before. As you all know, this recording is very delicate with lots of space and quiet, and a copy that is anything below E is just not listenable. Well, this copy is about the best I have heard, and this London pressing is so much more present and clear than the US Liberty pressings. The cover has a slight lifting of some of the lamination along the open edge (see photo), and just a touch along the back bottom, but is otherwise in remarkably great condition. These flimsy UK covers are so often really bent up, but not this one. Aside from this minor lamination peeling there are no issues. No seam splits, no corner dings, and even no ringwear. A beautiful, beautiful copy.
