This storming 1993 single was the opening track on the band’s second album, the multi-million selling “Siamese Dream”. At a time when “credibility” was everything among members of the alternative rock scene, the band’s commercial success was seized upon by many as a sign of the band’s lack of “authenticity”. This was of course, nonsense but it clearly bothered Corgan and the lyrics of “Cherub Rock” specifically address the issue.
This record is offered in VG+/VG+ condition. Both the sleeve and vinyl are in excellent shape. There is a small crease at the top of the front cover and some minor creasing around the top left corner (see photos) The record looks great and Side A plays with light crackle at the beginning. Side B has more consistently audible crackle as the song is much quieter.
