A kinda bottlerocket big hit movie back in the mid-eighties, this was Jim Carrey's first leading film role playing opposite Vampire cougar Lauren Hutton (42 at the time). This horror-sex comedy is steeped the '80s, and so is the soundtrack, unabashedly synthpop. Performers include: 3 Speed (a virtually unknown Boston synthpop band); Hubert Kah (German synthpop band unknown in the U.S. at the time); Real Life (Australian synth-pop band); Private Domain (former members of early 80's San Diego band, Bratz); Two of Us (German synthpop duo previously involved in the Hubert Kah project); Gifthorse (???); Maria Vidal (former Desmond Child & Rouge founding member, known for her hit single "Body Rock" in 1984); Kevin McKnelly; Moses Tyson, Jr. (Sly Stone's cousin); and composer/conductor John Du Prez for the film's instrumental theme.

This LP is now considered RARE. At the time of initial release, there was no CD, but there was a cassette. (A CD reissue came in 2007 from Australia, but it's very difficult to find, and likely quite expensive if you can find it.

Cover is EXCELLENT with only a small sawcut on the open edge in line with the white line and bat symbol on the front cover. Vinyl looks VG but play-tested VG+ (completely play-tested) and sounded really good with the exception of a little light surface noise in the space between a couple of songs, and a little light crackle on a part of the last instrumental track (Main Title Theme). Similar copies have sold in the $38-$45 range recently.
