SHAKIN' STEVENS AND THE SUNSETS – Honey Honey / Holy Moley 2001 – 7” original stock copy release on UK Decca Emerald label from 1973 (MD1176).
You are bidding for a nice copy of this early single by the Shakin' Stevens whilst he was still fronting the Sunsets who were a Rock 'n' Roll revival band from the Cardiff area of Wales.
Visually the vinyl is in nice condition, with just a few very fine hairline scratches / scuffs visible when inspecting under a good light. The paper Emerald labels are in nice clean condition with little evidence of any spindle marking. When spinning on the deck there is a very very slight edge warp, but nothing that affects play in any way.
Audibly this plays beautifully with no defects noted as a result of the visual comments made above, and only a little light noise (as normal) during run in / out of each side - so I would comfortably grade this as Ex.
This copy comes in a wavey edge Emerald paper sleeve which has a little age wear / creasing, but overall is still in great collectable condition which I would grade as Ex-.
Overall then a nice copy of this rare single which I would grade Ex/Ex- (vinyl/sleeve).
Grading:
All vinyl is played in full using a top quality turntable and headphones to ensure an accurate grading is made and suitable comments relating to the pressing are included in the listing.
