DATA021: Alien Soldier 2 x 180g Blue/Frosted Clear/Grey Tri-Colour & Splatter (Limited Edition) - **PLEASE NOTE: 2nd and 3rd Pictures are stock pictures, so you can see the product without me opening your record**

In 1995, at the tail end of the Mega Drive’s lifespan, composer Norio “NON” Hanzawa (Gunstar Heroes) was tasked by acclaimed developer Treasure to score their hugely ambitious new shooter, Alien Soldier. He then duly created one of the most technically impressive, challenging and experimental game scores of the entire 16-bit era. In line with Alien Soldier’s frantic gameplay, Hanzawa’s score is often intense, perplexing and occasionally overwhelming, but it is also punctuated with some surprisingly minimal and inventive synth passages, which at times feel oddly reminiscent of Vangelis’s Blade Runner. However, Hanzawa’s work on Alien Soldier is distinctively his own, harnessing the inherent noise and strange tones of Mega Drive’s FM sound chip to create a score filled with otherworldly sounds, disorientating layers and a sense of complexity seldom heard in game music at the time.

Alien Soldier is presented as a remastered double 180g LP, with audio sourced from the original Japanese console and pressed at 45RPM. It is packaging in a heavyweight single pocket sleeve, with an accompanying foldout poster of the original cover artwork and an obi strip. In addition, early orders will also receive a set of three matt laminated postcards featuring key characters from the game (direct orders only, while stocks last). Available in the following editions:

Please note NO Returns on Vinyl. We are a very small, family business, and wish to make your time here enjoyable. However not everyone out there is as honest as you are dear customer, and we have to protect our business from scammers etc :(

If there are any issues with your records please DM us first via eBay message, and will try to help you asap. However, it is important to understand the following...

For Used records: Vinyl paper sleeves that records usually come in when purchased new, have been replaced by us, with poly-lined inner sleeves to avoid any paper scratches on the record. When we do this, that means your record has been checked before being sent to you and cleaned if it has needed cleaningWe know the condition of our records before sending them.

Used vinyl means exactly that, used, so, therefore, expect the usual condition of used vinyl. If the record is of sub-par, barely playable quality, etc, this will be indicated in the description. Otherwise expect a used record to sound exactly like that, a used record :)

Please look at any pictures closely, and as stated above request more pictures if you would like them!

For new records: Some brand new vinyl was purchased by us from our distributor or from stores, with NO poly-lined sleeve - and the records came in paper sleeves, we have replaced these (free of charge) to keep the condition of your brand new record in mind (no paper sleeve scratches, etc.) The record is still BRAND NEW, never played, simply has more sturdy sleeves inserted for your benefit.

If the item is brand new and unopened/sealed, this will be stated in the title or description, and the item will NOT have our own personal inner sleeves inserted, only those that came from the factory.
