Elton John released his sixth studio album "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player" in January 1973 on MCA Records. It was a No. 1 album in both the U.S. and U.K. and includes the hit singles "Daniel," "Elderberry Wine," and the chart topping "Crocodile Rock."
This copy of (MCA-2100) is from the First Pressing and and has the solid black disc labels. The gatefold cover includes the glued-in 12-page Lyrics & Photo Booklet and does show some wear but the seams are solid and it is VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc looks like it has been well-cared for but it has not been test played so I conservatively rate it VG. It was mastered by Darrell Johnson at MCA Studios and this copy was pressed at the MCA Records plant in Gloversville, NY. The Side One dead wax is etched MCA-5 W-2 and stamped 回-G-回.
This album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve and will ship in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
