A dozen Herb Alpert albums, all play-tested to earn the vinyl grades above. Alpert was not only the easy listening music king of the '60s, but also the co-founder of A&M Records with Jerry Moss. (How else would he have gotten an "LP 101" catalog number for his first album!) Yes, a gazillion of these records were pressed...everybody's parent's bought at least one (likely Whipped Cream and Other Delights) and in many cases, a bunch more. How many now though are in great condition? (Although The Lonely Bull only graded a VG on the play-test, it really sounded pretty good...obviously the others that all graded better sounded even better.) Five of the albums in this lot were #1 in the U.S. album charts, with a sixth being an "almost" (S.R.O. at #2). Hard to believe "Rise" only reached #6, but this copy is a European pressing. Right now this is the best Herb Alpert lot on eBay. It won't last long.
