Mai-Kai Lauderdale - George "Hula" Hines "Aloha Time" LP Album.
This album, is "new old stock". It has been in storage since 1965. It has never been played.
From the golden era of Tiki Polynesia this album was recorded in 1965 during his nine years (1961 - 70) as musical director and performer at the Yankee Clipper Polynesian Room.
It includes the song "Nani Maka" which was written for her.
The Yankee Clipper hotel, which opened in 1956 still stands, now as the B Ocean Resort.
The PolynesianRoom closed sometime in the mid-'70s.
It had seating for 300 and was the first to house a full Polynesian floor show in a Florida hotel.
In 1970 He and his son Larry were the first non-Polynesians (haoles) to perform at the world famous Mai-Kai restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, playing there for ten years.🎶 🍹 🌴 🌺 🤙
This album was recorded at Miami's Criteria Recording Studios under the supervision of legendary Mack Emerman.
The vinyl is mint. The album jacket and sleeve have minor "storage " wear
