Up for sale is The Darjeeling Limited soundtrack on vinyl.
Special Record Store Day Translucent Green LP edition. So much great music on this record--lots of music from the late 60s Indian technicolor movie called The River directed by Renoir's son. Martin Scorsese talks a lot in interviews about this movie (The RIver) being the spark that lit the fire in him to make movies. He saw it as a kid in New York City--his dad was a tailor in the garment district but he'd always scrape up enough money for the Scorsese family to go to the movies. Besides beautiiful Indian soundscapes, there are great songs by the Kinks and the Rolling Stones--Play with Fire, for example. The album makes you feel just like you feel when watching The Darjeeling Limited, starring Adrian Brody, Jason Schwartzman, and Owen Wilson as three brothers using a train trip across India as a spiritual quest of sorts-- alive, a bit giddy, and surprisingly hopeful about the huture of humankind.
This fabulous Wes Anderson soundtrack has been played only a handful of times and appears to me to be in excellent condition. I’m a collector, not an expert, though, so I don’t grade items. I just ain’t qualified. I bought it new on RSD, though, and we’ve played it a few times since then.
To make up for my lack of technical expertise, I try to take good photos of any flaws and tell you about them when I see ‘em. This awesome record pulls from sources as is in excellent condition, inside and out. condition and it ships for FREE.
