ITEM: Rare Boyd's Solo Band "Hillbilly Auctioneer" b/w "Hillbilly Polka" 45 with its original picture sleeve! This 45 came out in 1961 on Cuca Records out of Sauk City, Wisconsin, catalog No. J. 1049. Boyd, of Boyd's Solo Band, was Boyd Skuldt, who hailed from Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. In addition to being a one-man band in the 1950s and 1960s, he was also a farmer, auctioneer, well driller, and inventor. While "Hillbilly Polka" is an original, "Hillbilly Auctioneer" is actually a cover of Leroy Van Dyke's "Auctioneer."

CONDITION: 45 is in beautiful NM condition—it looks unplayed! The sleeve is borderline VG/VG+ and shows some light wear/handling and yellowing commensurate with age. It also has a 1.5" split to the bottom seam (please see close-up photos that accompany this listing). Please see the numerous photos that accompany this listing.
