You are bidding on a LOT of appx 1,000 vinyl record albums. No 78's.
(Shipping by USPS Media mail is $460 as detailed below. If you are not in New York or New Jersey and you win this auction, please be advised. If you win and change your mind, fine, just cancel with no consequences. If you win and avoid paying, negative feedback will be issued.)
Artists and genres cover the last 60 years of recorded music. Pop, Light Rock, Oldies, Country, Easy Listening, Vocalists, Soundtracks etc.
I purchase large quantities of albums every month and process them through my personal collection. Thus, I generate a lot of duplicates as well as those categories that others are more interested in.
Their condition ranges from great to mediocre. There is no correlation between the album's title and its condition. I weed out raw records, albums with water damaged covers and any that look beat up.
Please do not email for specific artists and/or titles. Please do not email regarding specific genre's. Please do not ask if they are of one genre or any percentage breakdown of genres. I'm trying to keep my costs down which keeps my prices down. Any emails regarding specific contents will be ignored. This is a LOT sale.
Only emails sent to “m dot johnson at jaydeetrucking dot com” will be replied. Ebay’s regular email is too difficult during the week.
Think about it before you email. If they were one specific genre the listing title would say so. I do not itemize the albums in these listings. I don't recall which record is in which sealed box. I'm not going to open 10 sealed boxes of 100 albums each to answer your question.
If you inquire about artist "X" or album "Y", there's no good answer to that inquiry. If I recall or even spent time to open 10 boxes and the answer was YES, then you still have to purchase the other 999 albums. If the answer is NO, then you may miss other useful artists/titles that may be in this collection.
Local Pickup preferred but I have optional 3 Shipping considerations:
1. $150 delivery charge within 100 miles of Middletown, NJ 07748 (exit 114 of the Garden State Parkway).
2. $100 packaging charge (plus actual postage) to ship USPS MEDIA MAIL. Weight is approx 68 lbs per hundred. My Zip Code is 07748. Absolutely no international or Canada shipping. Period. Basically each box of 100 albums costs around $36 each USPS Media Mail including insurance. Thus, 10 x $36 PLUS $100 means around $460 in shipping.
3. $50 Palletizing charge for shrink wrapping. This is for your agent to pick up.
ZERO INTERNATIONAL which means CANADA as well. My listings are priced very fairly to meet you at my location. I do not want to putz around with getting foreign rates where media mail does not apply and/or dancing around with the buyer for different rates. Takes too much time.
The albums are already in cardboard boxes that are suitable for stacking/storing but not shipping.
Picture is of generic albums. Shelving and dividers not included.
Pay Pal preferred or Cash upon pickup.
Thanks for looking
Here are some more answers to frequent questions:
1) No raw records (all have covers) 2) No empty covers (based on feel and not visual inspection) 3) No water damaged covers 4) No 12" disco singles 5) No 78's They may or will include box sets. They may or will include duplicates. Due to volume, I cannot warrant any regard to the condition of the vinyl therein. Due to volume, I do not warrant that all the albums match their covers. Obviously 99% will as no-one would purposely switch 1,000 albums with 1,000 other covers. That's just stupid. But there could be some that don't match. Due to volume, I do not warrant that a double album has both discs nor that a box set has all the discs. There is no implied warranty regarding artists and titles. I include the 'not matching' clause only to cover my bases. Keep in mind the overall cost and volume of records. I'm not selling a $15 album that I have physically inspected. I process 1,500 albums an hour so they barely get 1 second of my time. I open a tightly packed box, pull out around 15 to un-tighten and then finger through the tops of the remaining albums looking at the covers to pull out what I want for my personal collection. Very fast. So fast, that I can even interrogate the backs of the covers. Not to see what they are. But to see what I don't want. Most albums I don't want have a consistent back cover. I guess looking at albums for the last 40 years has helped. That should cover any questions about my albums.
